You were never meant to do the fourth trimester alone.

Doulagy is a postpartum doula practice becoming an agency — overnight newborn care, feeding support, and a calm extra set of hands so new parents can rest, heal, and feel like themselves again.

45 minutes. No pressure. We talk through your due date, home setup, and whether you need Sheila or a matched Doulagy doula.

The fourth trimester

Coming home is when the real work begins.

Milk coming in. Visitors with opinions. A baby who will not latch. A body still recovering. Doulagy steps in during the first 24–72 hours at home — the window when rest, feeding, and emotional support matter most.

  • Irregular newborn sleep that leaves both parents exhausted
  • First baths, swaddling, and cries you cannot yet decode
  • Breastfeeding, bottle, or combo feeding that needs a calm coach
  • Postpartum anxiety or the quiet fear that you are failing
  • Older siblings, laundry, bottles, and no time to shower

What a shift includes

Whole-family postpartum care, not just baby holding.

Overnight newborn care

Get the rest you deserve while we care for your baby, troubleshoot feeding and sleep cycles, and keep the night from becoming chaos.

Feeding & lactation support

Latch, positioning, pumping, and bottle work — plus a referral to a lactation consultant when that is the wiser next step.

Emotional support

Non-judgmental presence for postpartum depression and anxiety. We are not therapists. We notice, hold space, and help you get the right help.

Newborn education

Bathing, soothing, diapering, babywearing, and cues — so when the shift ends, you feel capable, not dependent.

Home & recovery

Light housekeeping, simple meals, nursery organization, sitz baths, and after-birth healing so your body can close the chapter of birth.

Siblings & family

Help older children welcome the baby, and gentle guidance for well-meaning relatives who add stress instead of help.

How intake works

One conversation. Then a plan that can scale with you.

This is the path from sole practitioner to agency: Sheila still meets families first. As demand grows, trained Doulagy doulas take matched shifts under the same standard of care.

Discovery Dialogue

A complimentary 45-minute conversation. Due date, birth plan, overnight vs. day, budget, and whether you need a doula, a newborn care specialist, or both.

Match & retain

If we are a fit, you receive a simple contract. A 20–30% retainer holds your dates. Remaining balance is due around 36 weeks or when service starts. Payment plans when possible.

Care at homecoming

Your doula is ready the day you walk through the door: unpacking, first meal, feeding support, and a plan for the next 24 hours.

Postpartum shift plans

Choose the hours. We bring the calm.

Published shift rates from the current Doulagy plans. Packages can stack into a week of care — many families land in the 2–4 week range.

8-hour day or night

$520 / shift

A focused block for daytime recovery or overnight rest. Check-in, a plan for the session, baby care, and household support.

Start with this plan

12-hour overnight

$780 / night

Full-time overnight coverage so you can heal. Ideal after cesarean birth, with multiples, or when nights have completely unraveled.

From families we have served

“Sheila seemingly was here for our newborn, but in reality, she was here for me as a mom. She takes initiative cleaning bottles, organizing the nursery, doing the baby’s laundry, but more so she ensured that I got a break and I felt rested. We always look forward to our Sheila Days.”

Rachael & Hunter Kennedy

“Sheila Davis is definitely one of the best doulas we have ever worked with. We have enjoyed her so much with her sweet and kind heart and her positive upbeat work ethic.”

Meet Sheila Davis

After years in the medical industry, Sheila was introduced to doula work by her cousin Lisa. She trained through the Swaddle Company, began in Southern California as Sheicando, then moved to Texas and gathered every chapter into Doulagy.

The motto is Do utilize all given to YOU! Credentials on the current site: certified postpartum doula, lactation educator, and CPR / first aid instructor. Care is offered to all expectant parents, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
